The reason is always the same - unprotected windows!
There are many myths and misconceptions about this, but it's important to know:
Any cat can suddenly fall out of a window, regardless of its age.
Vertical ventilation is a deadly trap!
If a cat gets stuck by the neck or hind legs, it could die or become disabled.
Regular mosquito nets are unreliable!
They can easily tear from claws or fly out along with the frame under the weight of a cat.
Consequences:
Death, fractures, internal organ ruptures, cranial-cerebral trauma, disability.
How to protect?
The most reliable option is a removable welded metal mesh - Stop Cat. It is installed in the plastic window frame and can withstand up to 50 kg. It doesn't tear or come loose. It can be combined with a mosquito net to keep out insects.
Remember, the cost of treating a cat is many times higher than the cost of reliable nets!

removable welded protective screens Mekare for windows.
The removable welded Mekare screens are installed in the openings of plastic windows. These screens are designed to prevent young children and cats from falling out of open windows. They are easy to install and can be quickly removed if necessary. The screens can withstand loads up to 50 kg. No drilling is required, and there are no traces left on the frame after the screen is removed.
An additional service is the installation of mosquito screens on hinges, alongside the protective grills.
We occasionally receive requests to install reinforced "anti-cat" mosquito screens. We always do our best to dissuade clients from this solution. Why won’t a mosquito screen, even an "anti-cat" one, save your cat from falling?
1. The frame won't hold up.
Any mosquito screen, whether it has a plastic or aluminum frame, can easily come loose from its fittings. The frame bends under pressure. And even if you replace the standard plastic Z-clips with metal ones, the problem won't disappear. The screen will still pop out because it's simply not designed for serious loads.
2. The mesh is too fragile.
Even if your mosquito screen is brand new, a cat’s claws will easily tear through the mesh. And if the screen has been installed for a few seasons, its already low durability will further deteriorate due to heat, cold, and UV exposure. As a result, you’ll end up with a screen that will tear at the worst moment.
3. Reinforced mesh doesn’t help
You could go further and install a "Petscreen" or a metal mesh ("anti-peck" mesh). Of course, a cat won’t tear it with their claws, but again, the issue of reliability arises. First, the frame is still the same (see point 1). Second, no mesh can withstand more than 4 kg of weight— a cat’s jump will easily dislodge the mesh from the frame because it is just tucked into the profile and only held in place by a spline, with no additional support.
4. Screens with pins are not a solution.
Screens with pins are not a solution either. These pins can easily pop out from the frame or the window under any significant pressure. In fact, they only extend a few millimeters into the frame, and the screen is not designed to withstand impacts or animal jumps. It’s an insect screen, not a protection for cats. So, once again, refer to point 1.

These grills are also suitable for installation in balcony door openings, allowing you to block access to the balcony. This solution is especially convenient for French balconies.

Additionally, you can order the installation of mosquito screens on hinges.
Grills for wooden windows and plastic windows with sliding mosquito screens are installed using metal brackets attached to the window frame or the exterior wall of the house. The welded grill is then screwed onto these brackets and can be easily removed when needed.
The price ranges from 180 to 220 GEL per square meter.
A balcony door can be fitted with a mesh door on hinges, installed on the outside of the balcony door frame. Drilling the frame is required for this installation.
The doors can be designed with a single panel, as swing doors, or as accordion-style doors. The hinges can be either standard or removable.

Installation only on plastic profiles!
The hinged mesh door is installed on its own metal frame, which is attached to the balcony door profile using removable clamps. When removed, it leaves no marks on the profile frame.

An interior door is designed similarly to a balcony door: the mesh is attached with hinges and screws to the door frame. There is also an option to install it with its own frame, which is secured to the wall in cases where no wooden doorposts are present. This option is determined during measurements.

New Product Launch!
The outdoor cat balcony is now available for production and is designed specifically for plastic windows. It consists of a welded mesh box with a sloped roof, a floor, and a removable shelf. The floor, shelf, and roof are covered with 8mm cellular polycarbonate sheets.
The balcony has a depth of 40 cm, and its height and width match the window opening.
The balcony is to support a load of 30 kg.
Cats, by their nature, love observing their surroundings from a height, and a cat window enclosure allows them to safely enjoy fresh air and views without the risk of falling. Additionally, it helps satisfy their hunting instincts in a safe environment, creating the perfect spot for relaxation and play. A window balcony for cats is an excellent solution for ensuring their safety and comfort at home.

The width of the top shelf is adjustable from 450 to 700 mm.

We suggested adding a pressing wall for the safe sedation of captured cats, but the client declined. During use, the client realized this was a mistake and decided to modify the product in the future.
